New York—Cartier is betting on the actor starring in arguably the summer’s most anticipated film.

The French jewelry house has announced Austin Bustler is its latest ambassador.

The 30-year-old actor wore Cartier to the premiere of “Elvis” at the Cannes Film Festival to mark the partnership. Butler plays the titular role in the Baz Luhrmann-directed film.

Cartier Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Arnaud Carrez remarked, “We are delighted to welcome Austin into the maison as an ambassador for North America.

“As a talented actor, Austin’s bold approach to life and unique sense of style are inherently aligned with our core values here at Cartier.”

Butler’s role with Cartier will see him represent the brand at special events and wear its jewelry and timepieces at various red carpet events.

At the “Elvis” premiere, he wore a Tank Must de Cartier watch in steel and leather, a “Juste un Clou” bracelet in 18-karat white gold, and a “Love” ring in 18-karat white gold.

The simple accessories complemented the actor’s classic tuxedo.

Butler has worked in television, film, and on Broadway during his 15-year acting career. In “Elvis,” he stars opposite Tom Hanks.

“I am thrilled and honored to begin this exciting relationship with Cartier,” he said.

“I have long been an admirer of the maison’s creativity and innovation, and I’m very much looking forward to the work we will be doing together in the future.”

“Elvis” will hit theaters nationwide on June 24.
